When he was hired to replace Justin Fuente as the football coach at Virginia Tech, Brent Pry knew that recruiting within the Commonwealth was going to be key to getting the program back on track. You can't say that he has not made it a priority.

So far in the Class of 2025, five of the six commitments that Virginia Tech has is from Virginia and there are more recruits that still have decisions to make including a three-star defensive lineman whose latest Crystal Ball prediction from 247Sports has him landing in Blacksburg.

247Sports Crystal Ball predicts Christian Evans will commit to Virginia Tech

Ashburn, Virginia native Christian Evans has been offered over a dozen scholarships in the Class of 2025, but if there is one thing that the Stone Bridge High School talented player has learned, it's that Virginia Tech wants him. His latest Crystal Ball prediction from 247Sports has him committing to the Hokies when he makes his decision.

In January, Pry and Shawn Quinn visited Evans at Stone Bridge, and then he visited Virginia Tech during spring practices and got to again talk with Pry and his staff, which he came away impressed according to 247Sports.

Evans holds offers from North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, Penn State, Boston College, Indiana, Duke, Pittsburgh, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Liberty, and Coastal Carolina. He took official visits to Virginia and North Carolina and has one scheduled this weekend to Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pound Evans is certainly being recruited by several Power 4 schools and Virginia Tech seems to be right in the middle of things. Pry has made it clear to him that the Hokies are certainly interested in him and hopefully the Crystal Ball prediction comes to fruition when the time comes for him to make his commitment.
