ACC to reveal all conference football schedule dates on Wednesday night
By Scott Roche
We are still eight months away from the 2024 college football season, but in just five days, the ACC will release all team's full schedules. Wednesday night on the ACC Network as part of their "ACC Huddle" broadcast, the league will announce all dates for each team during a two-hour show that is scheduled to run from 5-7 p.m.
Before Wednesday night, the ACC PM show will reveal the full Week 1 schedule on Monday, then they will release their Thursday and Friday night schedule on Tuesday's show.
Virginia Tech's 2024 schedule will be fully announced
What is important here is that the dates for each contest will be released, but the times will be announced in the fall like they were this season, about a week before kickoff on Saturdays. This will be the first year of SMU, Stanford, and California becoming members of the conference.
Five dates for Virginia Tech have already been released. Like this past season, their first four games are going to be non-conference games and those dates have already been set. They will open the season in Nashville against Vanderbilt on Aug. 31. One week later on Sept. 7 they will host Marshall at Lane Stadium in their home opener, then travel to Old Dominion on Sept. 14. They will conclude their non-conference slate on Sept. 21 at home against Rutgers. Their annual Thanksgiving Weekend battle with in-state foe Virginia will take place on Nov. 30.
That leaves conference home games against Clemson, Boston College, and Georgia Tech to be announced and ACC road games at Miami, Duke, Syracuse and Stanford to be announced.
