ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings entering the conference tournament in Washington
By Scott Roche
Now that the 2023-24 ACC regular season is in the books for men's basketball, it's time for the conference tournament in Washington, D.C. beginning Tuesday. Regular-season champion North Carolina will be the top seed after beating Duke Saturday night in Durham to sweep the season series.
There were some odd results in the final week to close out the regular season, however, once all 15 teams make their way to Capital One Arena, everyone is 0-0 and anything can happen. Virginia Tech won both games last week over Louisville and Notre Dame to finish 10-10 and avoid playing on the first day and will begin at noon on Wednesday as the No. 8 seed and play No. 9 Florida State. The winner gets top-seeded UNC on Thursday. As all teams head to Washington, here are the final regular season ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings ahead of the ACC Tournament.
Not too much to say here.
The Hurricanes are struggling and have lost nine in a row. Yikes.
The Yellow Jackets will look to make some noise in Washington.
Notre Dame will be a very tough out this week with a young and up-and-coming roster.
The Eagles closed out with road wins against Miami and Louisville and get the Hurricanes again on Tuesday as they look to claim an NIT bid next week.
