Things could get interesting at the top of the standings as the margin for error for all the teams will be thin. A lot of teams are going to be in the mix throughout November for a spot in the ACC Championship Game. Ultimately, Florida State and Miami will be the last two standing when all is said and done.

However, would it be surprising to see North Carolina State, Louisville, Virginia Tech, or Clemson could be playing in Charlotte in early December? No, it wouldn't which is why this season could be one of the better we've seen in the ACC in a while. Newcomers Stanford and California are going to have to log a lot of miles this season on a plane with trips back and forth to the East Coast, while the teams that travel out west will get a bye week the following week. Ah yes, the new-look ACC.
