ACC Basketball Power Rankings: North Carolina & Wake Forest rise, Clemson falls hard

It was a wild first full week of January for the ACC in men's basketball and here are the latest power rankings after some surprising upsets.

ACC. 9-5. . . . 12. 447. . . 1-2

There was one game for the Hokies last week and it was a three-point loss at Florida State. The Seminoles used a 14-0 second-half run to rally past Virginia Tech by scoring 50 points over the final 20 minutes.

After losing to North Carolina at home, the Panthers rebounded with a road win against Louisville. There is one game this week for Jeff Capel and his team at home against Duke before they have a week off.

Is this an overreaction putting FSU here? Maybe, however, they had two wins last week against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech and used their length and athlicism to beat both teams. They het a very interesting home game this week against Wake Forest.
