ACC Basketball Power Rankings: Where is Virginia Tech after a 3-game winning streak?

If there is one thing we learned from the last seven days in the ACC, it's that the class of the conference near the midway point continues to be North Carolina. After that, anything goes on any given night. The Tar Heels cemented their place at the top of the conference with a tough road win at Florida State on Saturday afternoon. As the conference schedule hits the midway point this week, it's time for the latest power rankings.
ACC Men's Basketball Rankings: Jan. 29
Another week, two more losses for Kenny Payne's group. At least in some of the games the Cardinals have been competitive, but they hit a new low for this season, trailing Virginia 41-13 at halftime Saturday.
Last week: No. 15
Games this week: Jan. 30 at Clemson, Feb. 3 vs. Florida State
Two more home losses last week for the Fighting Irish against Duke and Boston College. Against the Eagles, they trailed by six with under five seconds left, hit a 3-pointer, forced a turnover on the inbounds pass with 0.8 seconds left, but missed the potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Games this week: Jan. 31 at Virginia, Feb. 3 at Pittsburgh
It was another two-loss week for Georgia Tech to Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech. After finishing second in the Diamond Head Classic on Christmas Eve, the ACC was not too kind to the Yellow Jackets.
