5 ACC football coaches on the hot seat for the 2024 season

The Panthers are just two years removed from an ACC title, but things have fallen fast including last season's 3-9 campaign. After a loss at Virginia Tech in September, Pat Narduzzi made some changes, including benching quarterback Phil Jerkovic before giving him some snaps at tight end. It wasn't an ideal situation for the Boston College transfer for Narduzzi.
To make matters worse, defensive edge Dayon Hayes transferred to Deion Sanders and Colorado because he didn't think Pittsburgh was going to win this upcoming season. Sheesh. Another three or even four-win season in 2024 could really create some uneasiness for Narduzzi.
The last couple of seasons, the Tar Heels could be considered one of the more underachieving teams in the ACC and there is some pressure on head coach Mack Brown going into 2024. North Carolina had NFL quarterbacks Sam Howell and Drake Maye but never went where they wanted to go because of their defense.
This season is a big one for the veteran Brown who will turn 73 years old before the season begins. After opening the season at Minnesota, the Tar Heels have a very doable ACC schedule with Florida State and North Carolina State being their toughest opponents.
