We are now four weeks into the 2024 college football season and there continue to be some eye-opening results. This weekend saw some of the top teams off with their first byes of the season where each team gets two.

Teams that played had some good wins, some impressive wins and we had a team in last week's rankings lose on the road when USC fell at Michigan in the Big House. That could be considered an upset, but in this day and age, nothing should be surprising when it comes to playing on the road.

There were teams that impressed with Miami going on the road to roll over South Florida, Ohio State taking care of Marshall at home, Old Miss rolling past Georgia Southern at home while Tennessee went on the road and beat Oklahoma in an early-season SEC showdown.

As we look ahead to what is going to be a big Week 5 in terms of some matchups, let's break down that latest 2024 12-team CFP rankings prediction.

There is a lot of talk about the ACC being a one-bid league and it very well may end up playing out that way, but it's hard to overlook what Clemson has done since losing their opener to Georgia. Yes, it's Georgia, the top team in the country according to a lot of poles, but the Tigers have bounced back impressively including this past weekend's rout of North Carolina State.

Aside from Clemson coming in and USC falling out, Tennessee moves up after an impressive win in Norman and as we look ahead to this upcoming weekend, we get some big-time matchups with Georgia visiting Alabama, while Ole Miss will host Kentucky in an interesting SEC game. Expect more chaos this upcoming weekend.
