Virginia Tech women's basketball coach Megan Duffy secured her second Class of 2026 recruit on Sunday when Arianna Harris-Mott committed via her Instagram page. She joins Kaleo Anderson, who committed late Friday night.

Harris-Mott is from Laurel, Maryland and plays at St. Vincent Pallotti as a rising senior and she is currently playing for Boo Williams in AUU ball. She was an all-conference player this past season, and the 6-foot-4 post player can play both forward and center.

Since arriving at Virginia Tech, Duffy has done an outstanding job in recruiting, as evident by her talented Class of 2025 that will likely make an impact in 2025-26. Amani Jenkins (Johnston, IA), Kate Sears (Boone, NC), and Aniya Trent (Springboro, OH) are all good players who have a high ceiling. Sears is a player who can do it all and should see some time in Duffy's rotation next winter.

Anderson was a good start to the Class of 2026 as she is a rising guard who is the 66th-ranked player in the ESPN Top 100 and is a player who fits Virginia Tech's heavily-used guard lineup under Duffy, while Harris-Mott brings an inside presence that th Hokies will need.

Harris-Mott opened college scouts' eyes with her defense and her ability to block shots with her size and length, while having very good defensive instincts. We saw this past season how important it is to have a shot-blocking post presence on defense. Virginia Tech loses that with the graduation of Rose Micheaux, who will be tough to replace next season.

The Class of 2026 is starting to come together nicely for Duffy with Anderson, a talented guard, and Harris-Mott, who will be a promising post presence. The roster for 2026-27 is far from complete, but in terms of high school recruits, Duffy is off to a good start.
