After getting their three non-conference games out of the way, the Virginia Tech football team will open ACC play on Saturday afternoon at Boston College. It is going to be a complete mess in terms of the weather, as the game will be played in a major nor'easter that is going to batter the Northeast for days.
As far as who is and who isn't going to be available, that remains to be seen for first-year Hokies' coach James Franklin. On Wednesday night, the first injury report of the season for an ACC game was released, and there were no answers surrounding the two biggest names on the list for Virginia Tech: wide receiver Ayden Green and offensive lineman Justin Terry.

Initial injury reports for both Virginia Tech and Boston College were released, and for the Hokies, Greene and Terry remain questionable. According to Andy Bitter of Tech Sideline, there were no updates from Franklin when he met with the media about Terry, while Franklin said on Monday that Greene will be a game-time decision. According to Bitter, neither player was at practice on Wednesday.

Both players were injured in last Saturday night's 35-26 victory at Maryland, and both were lost in the first half. As far as Greene goes, he was injured when he fell hard along the sideline while going up for a catch and never returned. Terry was hurt in the second quarter blocking.
Logan Howland replaced Terry along the offensive line and performed well. He has the trust of Franklin and the offensive line coach, Matt Moore, to be able to come in and play full-time. As for Greene, if he's out as well, that would open the door for Davion Brown to get more targets, as well as the tight ends. However, just how much the Hokies are going to be able to throw the ball remains to be seen with the ugly-looking forecast.
Virginia Tech is looking for a 4-0 start in Year 1 under Franklin and is a double-digit favorite in Chestnut Hill. However, health is going to be key along the forecast, which favors the Eagles being at home. We'll find out in 48 hours as to who is and who isn't playing for the Hokies.
