That's right, Virginia Tech fans, we have finally made it to the 2025 Hokies football season. It begins on Sunday afternoon when Brent Pry's team opens the season against 13th-ranked South Carolina inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 3 o'clock in a standalone game in the 2025 Aflac Kickoff Game. The hype will all finally come to an end.
It has been nearly eight months since the Hokies were last on the field in a 24-10 Duke's Mayo Bowl loss in Charlotte to Minnesota in early January, and there have been a lot of changes. Some players left in the Transfer Portal, as well as some big turnover with the coaching staff, with two new coordinators and a new offensive line coach. All of that turnover has led to more questions than answers facing the Hokies in 2025, but we should begin to get answers to some of those questions against the Gamecocks.
