After their second bye in three weeks, the Virginia Tech football team will head to Florida for an ACC matchup with Florida State. It was supposed to be a bounce-back season for FSU after a disaster in 2024, but it has been anything but a bounce-back season for the Seminoles.
Things have been so rough this season for Florida State that Mike Norvell is on the hot seat. At 4-5, the school has announced that they will make a decision on his future after the season. The Seminoles need to win two of their last three games to be bowl eligible, but the Hokies are their last home game. FSU closes the season with road games at North Carolina State and Florida.
This won't be an easy game for interim Virginia Tech coach Philip Montgomery and his team, which fell to 3-6 last time out with a loss at home against Louisville on Nov. 1. The Hokies close out the season with a home game against Miami and a road game Thanksgiving Weekend against Virginia.
