It was a busy weekend on the campus of Virginia Tech this weekend. The Hokies baseball and softball teams hosted their ACC weekend openers, with the softball team hosting North Carolina State and the baseball team hosting Duke.
With all that going on, James Franklin and his staff continued their spring practices, as well as hosting a slew of recruits. There were some priority recruits on campus, and there was one in the Class of 2027, four-star quarterback back Andre Adams, from Nashville, Tennessee. He is someone who is being coveted by SEC programs, as well as the Hokies. It appears that he's closing in on making his decision soon.

As far as Virginia Tech goes, quarterback coach Danny O'Brien and Franklin have alaways been in the mix for some of the top quarterbacks in their Penn State days together and that is expected to continue now that they're at Virginia Tech.
As far as recruiting goes in the Class of 2027, there are a handful of signal callers the Hokies are in on. They are also pushing for University of Michigan commit Peter Bourque from Massachusetts. He reopened his recruitment after Sherrone Moore was fired. Penn State is also in the mix for Bourque with new coach Matt Campbell.
Virginia Tech has a young quarterback room in 2026 with transfer Ethan Grunkemeyer and Bryce Baker on board with true freshman Troy Huhn. Also coming back from last year's roster are A.J. Brand and Kelden Ryan.
