We are about a month away from the 2025 NFL season beginning with training camps opening, and we are starting to get some rankings released for the upcoming season. NFL.com's Top 100 players list is not too far from popping up, but CBS Sports released their Top 100 players for the new campaign, with a former Virginia Tech offensive lineman making the cut.

Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw was ranked the 59th best player by Pete Prisco of CBS Sports. Minnesota's top offensive tackle was injured in Week 8 when he tore his ACL against the Los Angeles Rams, but it didn't stop him from cracking Prisco's list.

As Prisco stated, before his injury last season, he was playing at a very high level and was one of the top tackles in the NFL. Selected 23rd overall in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Minnesota was one of the top teams in the NFC last season, but fell on wild-card weekend to the Rams, 27-9, in Arizona after the game was moved because of the California wildfires.

It's not surprising to see Darrisaw on the list even though he dropped five spots from his ranking at this time last season. The Upper Marlboro, Maryland native started all 13 games his sophomore season in Blacksburg, and in his final season of 2020, he started all nine games he played in during the COVID-19 season, where he made First Team All-ACC.

This past season, Virginia Tech had five players drafted, and down the line in a few years, it wouldn't be surprising to see some of them listed in this space as their careers get going. Bhayshul Tuten is a player who could make a quick impact with the Jacksonville Jaguars this season and establish himself as their back in certain situations in 2025.
