ACC Football Power Rankings: Where's Virginia Tech after stunning NC State?

There was more shakeups in the latest ACC Football Power Rankings.

Another week down in the 2025 college football season, and there was more chaos in the ACC. From road upsets to road blowouts to nail-biting wins. Virginia Tech has already fired Brent Pry, but two more coaches might be heading closer to the hot seat.

It was another wild weekend in the ACC, and it caused some major changes in the latest power rankings. Who moved up and who moved down? Let's fire up the latest power rankings.

Week 5 ACC Football Power Rankings

If losing to Stanford wasn't bad enough two weeks ago, up 14 points at home against a Cal team that was coming off a 34-0 loss to San Diego State and had to fly cross-country, and you lose? BC fans are frustrated with Bill O'Brien just a month into the season.

The Cardinal picked up a 30-29 non-conference win over San Jose State at home before heading into a bye week.

It was a bye week for Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels, who will host Clemson in a game that had a lot more juice a month ago than it does now for various reasons.

Dave Doeren's seat is hot, and the fans were steaming mad after losing to the Hokies on Saturday night at home.

The Hokies had the biggest upset of the weekend, taking down NC State in Raleigh in a game that they desperately needed to win. Philip Montgomery had them ready to play, and they fought for all 60 minutes. They are an early favorite over Wake Forest this weekend.

You have to feel for Jake Dickert and the Demon Deacons. They did everything they needed to do to upset Georgia Tech, but the officials let them down before losing in overtime.

What a difference a week makes. After blowing out Clemson on their home field last week, the Orange returned home and were run out of the dome by Duke.

A home loss to Louisville is nothing to be ashamed about, but because of other results around the conference, the Panthers tumbled a little bit.

After Virginia Tech, Cal had the next biggest road win, traveling across the country to Boston and taking down the Eagles with a goal-line stand in the final seconds after an ugly loss to San Diego State.

The Mustangs enjoyed their first bye week and now will begin conference play this Saturday, hosting Syracuse.

What a beating the Blue Devils laid on the Orange in New York. Now they travel cross-country to take on a hot Cal team late Saturday night.

The Seminoles had a trap game at Virginia Friday night before Miami visits this weekend and FSU suffered its first loss, 46-38, in double overtime. A huge bounce-bakc game faces this at home on Saturday night.
