Don't look now, but we are just a month away from the ACC men's basketball tournament. Six regular-season games remain for Virginia Tech and Mike Young, who are in hot pursuit of getting on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.

They took a step toward doing that on Wednesday night when they went on the road and took down No. 20 Clemson, 76-66, for their Quad 1 victory. The Hokies still have Quad 1 opportunities with road games at Miami, North Carolina, and Virginia. They also have to take advantage of their three remaining home games against Florida State, Wake Forest, and Boston College.

ACC adjusts time of Commonwealth Clash in March

Virginia Tech opened ACC play with a New Year's Eve thriller over Virginia in triple overtime to pick up a statement win. Since then, things have been up and down for Young's team, but if things go in the Hokies favor in their next five games, then it is setting up to be a pivotal game for both teams in terms of the ACC standings and the NCAA Tournament on March 7 in Charlottesville.

On Friday, the ACC announced that the start time for that game has been moved up 30 minutes from 12:30 to noon and will remain on the dreaded CW Network. The rest of the changes that were affected are Stanford at North Carolina State, which moved up to 2:15, and Pittsburgh at Syracuse moved up to 4:30. Again, all of those games will follow each other on the CW Network.

There are a lot of games to be played between now and then, but it is never too early to adjust the schedule for a game that will be a huge one for both teams. The Cavaliers will be looking for revenge for the loss back in December at Cassell Coliseum, and the Hokies will be looking to add another Quad 1 win to their résumé.
