No. 12: Georgia Tech (5-3, 1-0)

The Yellow Jackets have a pair of impressive wins at home this season so far, 67-59, over Mississippi State in the ACC/SEC Challenge, then they opened up ACC play with a 72-68 win over Duke. They followed those two wins up with a loss to in-state rival Georgia, 76-62.

Games this week: Dec. 16 vs. Penn State.

No. 11: Boston College (8-3, 0-1)

Yes, the Eagles have seven wins, but there is not one that you would say, that’s a good or impressive win. Their three losses are to Colorado State, Loyola Chicago, and North Carolina State to open ACC play at home. They do have a win over Vanderbilt on the road as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, but a 31-point over a 2-8 Holy Cross team is not going to do anything for their resume.

Games this week: None.

No. 10: Wake Forest  (6-3, 0-0)

The Demon Deacons are the only team that has not opened ACC play and they will do so on Dec. 30 at home against Virginia Tech. Their last two wins over Florida and Rutgers are impressive wins, but let’s wait and see how Wake begins conference play at the end of the month.

Games this week: None.
