It was not a day that the ACC was hoping to have. Less than 24 hours after beating Louisville, 16-6, in the ACC Championship game in Charlotte, Florida State finished 13-0 and was expecting a College Football Playoff berth, but that never happened.

Instead, the committee went with Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Alabama, leaving the Seminoles on the outside looking behind the one-loss Longhorns and Crimson Tide.

It was announced late Sunday afternoon that Virginia Tech is going to the Military Bowl to play AAC foe Tulane in Maryland. It’s going to be a fun game, but it’s also an important month for Hokies coach Brent Pry, his staff, and players as they get extra practice and a game to look ahead to 2024 in their rebuild.

Here is a list of the ACC teams and which bowls they will be going to.

Boca Raton Bowl, Dec. 21

  • Syracuse vs. South Florida, 8 p.m.

Gasparilla Bowl, Dec. 22

  • Georgia Tech vs. Central Florida, 6:30 p.m.

Birmingham Bowl, Dec. 23

  • Duke, vs. Troy, 12 p.m.

Military Bowl, Dec. 27

  • Virginia Tech vs. Tulane, 2:15 p.m.

Duke’s Mayo Bowl, Dec. 27

  • North Carolina vs. West Virginia, 5:30 p.m.

Holiday Bowl, Dec. 27

  • Louisville vs. USC, 8 p.m.

Wasabi Fenway Bowl, Dec. 28

  • Boston College vs. SMU, 11 a.m.

Pinstripe Bowl, Dec. 28

  • Miami vs. Rutgers, 2:15 p.m.

Pop-Tarts Bowl, Dec. 28

  • North Carolina State vs. Kansas State, 5:45 p.m.

TaxSlayer Bowl, Dec. 29

  • Clemson vs. Kentucky, 12 p.m.

Sun Bowl, Dec. 29

  • Notre Dame vs. Oregon State, 2 p.m.

Orange Bowl, Dec. 30

  • Florida State vs. Georgia, 4 p.m.

Aside from Florida State not being in the College Football Playoff, there are not any surprises here. BC staying home is a no-brainer, but they get a very talented SMU team that will be entering the ACC next season. You have to wonder what FSU is going to look like in the Orange Bowl after being snubbed in the CFP and there are two interesting matchups with NC State playing Kansas State and Clemson playing Kentucky. Regardless, the ACC is well-represented this season in bowl games.
