Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl: vs. USC
What a matchup this would be for the Hokies. USC will likely be without quarterback Caleb Williams who will be getting ready for the NFL Draft and won’t want to risk an injury. As we all know, players who are expected to be high draft picks back out of bowl games this time of year.
USC underperformed this season, and I know that’s a major understatement, but they are a team loaded with talent for coach Lincoln Riley. They are an explosive team that relies on the big plays and that would be a good test for Virginia Tech’s defense.
On the flip side, their defense gives up points and sometimes they give up as much as they score. The Hokies offense has been clicking recently and going up against the Trojans’ defense that allows a lot of points would be a matchup worth watching.
Virginia Tech fans would travel in big numbers to El Paso, Texas for the game against a program that is headed to the Big Ten next season.
