Virginia Tech Basketball: How to watch Hokies vs. Boise St. in Orlando
By Scott Roche
After a long day on Thanksgiving Day of family, friends, food, and football, the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team will close out the day with an interesting game.
The Hokies are in Orlando to take part in the ESPN Events Invitational and they will play in the fourth and final game of the day Thursday night.
How to watch Virginia Tech vs. Boise State in Orlando
Thursday night’s game will be televised on ESPNU beginning at 8 p.m. and is also available on FuboTV. As I write this article, according to DraftKings, the Hokies are a 2-point favorite over the Broncos with an over/under of 142.5.
Boise State is 2-1, coming off an 85-68 loss to Clemson on Sunday on the road. They have wins over Vanguard and the University of San Francisco, 63-58, on Nov. 12.
Virginia Tech enters the game 3-1 with wins over Coppin State, Campbell, and Wofford, while losing on Nov. 10 against the University of South Carolina in Charlotte, 79-76.
The Hokies are going to need Lynn Kidd to become an inside presence to open things up on the outside for Hunter Cattoor and Sean Pedulla. Tyler Nickel, MJ Collins, and Robbie Beran have been big early in the season for head coach Mike Young. Getting at least two wins in the tournament should be considered a success for Virginia Tech.
