Needing a win to become bowl-eligible on Saturday in Charlottesville, the Virginia Tech football team has a busy Thanksgiving week ahead of them. Head coach Brent Pry and his team are looking to get back to a bowl game after missing out in 2022.

There have been several plays this season that Virginia Tech and their fans can be Thankful for and deserve a Turkey Leg. Here a five Hokies who deserve a Turkey Leg this Thanksgiving for a play of call this season.

Bhayshul Tuten

As the season has gone along, Bhayshul Tuten has been getting better and better since offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen started handing him the ball more. He has had some big games, including a three-touchdown performance against Boston College on Nov. 11. However, it was a play against Florida St that gets him on this list.

After falling behind the Seminoles 22-0 in the first quarter, the Hokies cut the deficit to 22-10 at halftime after a good second quarter that saw Tuten go air-born over an FSU defender for a touchdown. Tuten made an even better play to open the second half.

Tuten fielded the opening kickoff at the 1-yard line and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown to bring the Hokies within 22-17. In the end, the Seminoles went on to win 39-17, but Tuten can claim something not many players can, he outran the Florida State kick team and went to the house to put a scare into them.
