In the latest edition of Virginia Tech News, the ACC Tipoff is set for this week in Charlotte, N.C., the baseball and softball teams finished up their fall seasons and more.

Virginia Tech women have ACC Tipoff on Tuesday

The first of two days in Charlotte for the ACC Tipoff begins Tuesday with the women taking center stage. Hokies coach Kenny Brook will be joined by athletes Elizabeth Kitley, Cayla King, and Georgia Amoore for the 2023 ACC Tournament Champions.

Wednesday, men’s coach Mike Young and his players will have the stage to themselves to discuss the upcoming 2023-24 season that begins on Nov. 6 against Coppin State.

Football time at Louisville announced

Monday, the ACC announced the time for the football game at Louisville on Nov. 4. The game will kick off at 3:30 and be broadcast on the ACC Network. That will be the first of two straight road games, with the Hokies traveling to Boston College on Nov. 11.

Tech hosts Syracuse out of their bye this Thursday night.

Virginia Tech baseball & softball close out the fall schedule

The Hokies baseball team dropped their fall-ball final, 8-6 against the University of Tennessee. Chris Cannizzaro had two hits and two RBIs and Gehrig Ebel chipped in with a pair of hits. Before you know it, the 2024 season will be here in February.

The softball team concluded their fall season with a good scrimmage against the University of Virginia Wise. Like baseball, softball will begin in February as the Hokies look to get back to the NCAA Tournament.

Men’s soccer to host final home game

The Virginia Tech men’s soccer team has been better this season and even pulled off a road win over a nationally ranked-program in Louisville. They will conclude their 2023 home schedule at Thompson Field on Tuesday night (Oct. 24) in a non-conference match against Radford.
