Trailing fifth-ranked Florida State 22-10 at halftime, the Virginia Tech football team received the opening kickoff, and running back Bhayshul Tuten electrified the Hokies fans.
The North Carolina A&T transfer returned the hoping kick 99 yards for a touchdown to cut the deficit to 22-17.

Tuten’s touchdown was his second of the game after a 5-yard run in the second quarter, but his run that brought Virginia Tech within five points blew up X (formerly Twitter).

Unfortunately for the Hokies, Florida State answered two plays on their next possession for a 62-yard touchdown to regain a two-possession lead, but Tuten’s big play certainly has the Hokies hanging around in a game where it didn’t seem possible after trailing 22-0 after the first quarter and be dominated by the Seminoles.
Regardless of how the game finishes out, Virginia Tech showed a lot of heart in the second quarter by settling things down on both sides of the ball and hanging around longer than a lot of people expected on the road against a top-five team with much more talent on both sides of the ball, but Bhayshul Tuten is having an afternoon to remember.
