Coming off of an impressive win over Pittsburgh at Lane Stadium Saturday night, 38-21, The Virginia Tech football team turns their attention to this week’s upcoming game at Florida State. The Hokies on Sunday opened as a massive underdog against the Seminoles, which was expected as there is a very good chance that FSU will end up in the college football playoff at the end of the season.

It’s going to be the most difficult game on Virginia Tech’s schedule to date and all season long. With a long week ahead of game planning, on Monday, the ACC announced the start time for the Hokies’ next home game on Oct. 14 against Wake Forest.

ACC announced the start time for the Homecoming game against Wake Forest

After Florida State this upcoming weekend, the Hokies will return home for a Week 7 battle against Wake Forest, and the Homecoming Game will kick off at 3:30 and be televised on the ACC Network.

The Demon Deacons, who had their bye weekend this past weekend, are 3-1 with non-conference wins over Elon, Vanderbilt, and Old Dominion. Their win over the Monarchs was one where they had to rally in the second half to win on the road, 27-24. The Hokies beat Old Dominion, 36-17, in their season opener.

This weekend, Wake Forest will look to rebound from a 31-16 loss in their ACC opener to Georgia Tech on Sept. 23 when they travel to Clemson, who is coming off a big bounce-back win over Syracuse this past weekend after dropping a home game to Florida State in overtime.

Four other ACC games will be played on Oct. 14 and two of those start times have been announced and two remain TBA. At 6:30, Louisville will travel to Pittsburgh, and at 8, North Carolina State will be at Duke. The start times for Syracuse at Florida State and Miami at North Carolina will be announced at a later date.
