GAME SUMMARY – 4TH QUARTER

Jurkovec continued a rough night behind a struggling offensive line with a sack early in the 4th quarter.

Jurkovec slipped and lost the ball on a 3rd down, but BC was able to recover, leading to 4th down and a punt.

Jurkovec was sacked again and tried to get rid of the ball, leading to an intentional grounding penalty.

Wells passed to Blumrick for a 13 yard reception on 3rd down.

BC was called for a pass interference penalty, leading to an automatic Hokie first down.

The Hokies scored a field goal with 4:20 left in the 4th quarter.

VT – 27, BC – 10.

Emmet Morehead took over at QB for BC in the final minutes.

BC only had 4 rush yards in the game, and allowed 6 sacks by the Hokie defense, showing the continued weakness in the Eagles’ offensive line

Final Score – Virginia Tech Hokies – 24, Boston College Eagles – 10.
