Hokies get ACC Win over Boston College – Quarter by Quarter Summary

GAME SUMMARY – 3RD QUARTER

VT started on offense in the 3td quarter.

Holston ran for a 15 yard gain for a first down.

When BC took over, they were back against their own end zone, and Jurkovec was almost sacked for a safety but threw the ball away.

Holston became the primary running back with Keshawn King out for the game with an injury.

VT was called for a false start penalty.

Grant Wells ran for 13 yards, but was short of a first down.

BC had a huge 50 yard reception by Zay Flowers, which set up a Boston College touchdown.

VT – 17, BC – 10.

The Hokies’ offense began to sputter without King in the 3rd quarter, until Kaleb Smith had a big reception for 43 yards.

BC was called for roughing the passer which kept the Hokies’ drive alive.

Connor Blumrick had a strong night showing off his versatility, and caught a first down pass in the 3rd quarter.

Kaleb Smith had a 3 yard touchdown reception in the 3rd quarter, capping off a 78 yard drive with a score.

VT – 24, BC – 10.
