The Virginia Tech football team takes the field today in what could be their last game of the season with all to play for against bitter rivals Virginia.

The Hokies have to win to become bowl eligible, bringing the stakes even higher in this rivalry game. It’s the biggest rivalry for both of the schools with a lot of history between the two teams. In the past, there hasn’t been much competition with the Hokies dominating the series for 15 years straight. That all changed in 2018 when the Hoos took down Virginia Tech in Scott Stadium. Now the Hokies return to Charlottesville trying to keep the Commonwealth Cup for a second straight year.
