For the second time, this season this Virginia Tech football team is set to play in front of a sold-out crowd in Lane Stadium. The Hokies are looking to knock off their second-ranked opponent this season with No. 14 Notre Dame coming to Blacksburg.

Virginia Tech is coming off of a bye week, their last game was a lackluster performance against Richmond. While they did pick up the win in that one they struggled a lot and will have to play much better if they want to knock off Notre Dame.

Last week Notre Dame suffered their first loss of the season against Cincinnati. It was a 24-13 loss for the Fighting Irish in South Bend. Much like Virginia Tech, Notre Dame has an offense that has been struggling as of late.

Virginia Tech vs. Notre Dame Odds Week 5

The Week 5 betting odds on WynnBET have the Hokies as 1.5 point underdogs on the road. The money line is set with Notre Dame favored at -125 and Virginia Tech at +105. The total for the game is set at an over/under of 47.5.

Virginia Tech vs Notre Dame Prediction Week 6

The Hokies have got to figure out what’s not clicking on offense. In each game so far this season, they have left far too many points on the board, if they want to avoid another loss they can’t let that happen against Notre Dame. The Virginia Tech defense has been pretty good so far this season but they’ll need the offense to step it up.

In the West Virginia loss, the Hokies came out flat and put themselves in a hole they couldn’t climb out of. Both the offense and defense need to start the game off hot for Tech to have a chance in this one.

I think that Virginia Tech can come away with the win in this one but it will be close. The Hokie defense has been playing well and they can take advantage of Notre Dame’s quarterback struggles.
