The Las Vegas Raiders have struggled to get defensive backs right can they do it with Deablo?

The Raiders even after getting Mike Mayock the scouting guru from the NFL Network, have missed pretty badly on defensive backs. Last year they were one of the worst teams defending the pass. They were pretty much bad everywhere on defense, but they fixed the pass rush in free agency, so I would look for them once again to try and fix the secondary in the NFL Draft.

Deablo seems like a good fit there as their defense can be quite fluid.

There were also questions about the run game, but in a division that uses the spread constantly having a player who can move in and out would be nice. While there are still concerns about how he can stay a starter at the next level as a safety, he can plug and play on a defense devoid of secondary talent. They have a need at inside linebacker as well, and dime linebacker. Deablo can fill both of those needs when asked to.

There is a good chance if they spend the pick I think they will on him that he will start week one at free safety, and dime linebacker in their current system. Mike Mayock likes locker room guys and players who have an extensive history as we have seen from his last set of picks. Deablo fits that mold, as he played in 41 games over five seasons. Totaling 206 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and six picks in four seasons, as his first season he played wide receiver.

NFL Draft Projection- Las Vegas Raiders third-round pick, 80th overall.
