Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins right now might be the best team with the worst offense. Though that looks to change with this draft. Currently, they do not have a solid starting running back, or even an idea of who would be their running back. This offense is about to undergo multiple changes at what looks to be both wide receiver and running back. With other major needs early on them targeting running back later would seem to be a logical move.

The Dolphins I think would be willing to take a shot on Herbert sooner than the other teams, most likely in the fourth round.

While I am unsure if it is the correct fit for Herbert, it is one he could start early and often in. He is more naturally talented than any other running back on the roster, sorry Miles Gaskin truthers, he’s not that good. This would be his best fit to start day one, even if it might not be the best fit for his career.

The progression of last year’s fifth overall pick Tua at quarterback is their main focus, so a multi-use and every down back like Herbert could help.

While Herbert is still raw, he will be a safety blanket for the highly-touted Tua. Having a back who can do anything you ask, even if he needs a bit of work would be a luxury the Dolphins need. Miami has not had a legit lead running back in about a decade, I would look for that to change and see them take a shot on Herbert, even if it’s a little sooner than he should go.
