2021 NFL Draft: Updated Caleb Farley Landing Spots
Los Angeles Chargers
Many analysts have the Chargers taking a corner in the first, but that seems unlikely as there will be an elite offensive lineman there or Waddle. So the second round they should be dead set on getting a corner. Having a middle pick in the second round they should feel comfortable that Farley can fall to them and they won’t have to reach.
The Chargers are only a couple of players away from being one of the top-ten teams in football.
Farley could easily be that guy to help them out. They also just got the high-end defensive coordinator who came over from the crosstown Rams. He recently just coaches up Jalen Ramsey who is one of the best corners in football, which should help him get the most out of Farley. He will come in on a team with a desperate need at the position and a need for athletic ability.
I love the combination they could have of Derwin James and Farley.
That would be two of the most dynamic defensive backs in the NFL on the same side of the field. They could shut down half the field for years to come, pending they both stay healthy. The Chargers sadly are not one team known for keeping players healthy, so going there I would keep a sharp eye on his ability to stay healthy. If he can stay on the field having a solid defensive-minded coach and an elite safety behind him he could flourish not only into one of the best at his position but the best steal in this draft.
