Coming off a thrilling 42-34 double overtime win over California last Friday night at Lane Stadium, the Virginia Tech football team will look to pull off an upset on Saturday afternoon when Louisville enters Blacksburg as a double-digit favorite.
Virginia Tech will need to establish the run if they are going to hang around with the Cardinals, who are still in the thick of the ACC race for a spot in the ACC Championship Game in December in Charlotte. Let's take a look at the latest odds and give a prediction for the game.

Virginia Tech vs. Louisville prediction
As if things can't get any more bizarre for the Hokies in 2025, after this game, Virginia Tech will go into their second bye of the season in just three weeks after this game before finishing the season with three straight games.
Louisville is going to pose a huge challenge on defense for Virginia Tech with quarterback Miller Moss and running back Isaac Brown. The Cardinals put up 38 points on Boston College last week, but believe it or not, their offense is actually better on the road than it is at home. They had a road win two weeks ago at Miami, stunning the No. 2 Hurricanes. Granted, the home field advantage at Miami is anything but; Louisville should be ready for the crowd at Lane Stadium better than Cal was last weekend.
It is hard to envision the Hokies being able to score enough to keep up with Louisville, but if Virginia Tech can establish the running game early and pick up where they left off last week against the Golden Bears, then things could get interesting.
