The Virginia Tech football team will be looking to extend a winning streak on Saturday afternoon when they host Georgia Tech at Lane Stadium for Homecoming. After wins at Stanford and at home against Boston College, the Hokies will be looking to get to two games over .500 for the first time this season.

Georgia Tech is coming into the game off a 31-13 loss to Notre Dame without starting quarterback Haynes King whose status for this weekend is still up in the air. Regardless of who is under center for the Yellow Jackets, they will have to deal with Antwaun Powell-Ryland and a tough defensive line.

Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech: Odds

The Hokies opened as a touchdown favorite last Sunday, but it went up to double digits early in the week after King's status was confirmed by head coach Brent Key was day-to-day. Currently, at the time this article is being written, Virginia Tech is a 10-point favorite according to DraftKings with an over/under of 53.5 points.

Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech: Final Odds & Predictions

One of the big questions entering this game is how are the Yellow Jackets going to defend Bhayshul Tuten after his school-record 266 yards last Thursday night in a 42-21 win against Boston College. Also, can the Hokies' offensive line protect quarterback Kyron Drones who has been playing some of his best football over the last three games.

Georgia Tech's offense can put up points regardless of who is under center and if Virginia Tech doesn't tackle well and get them in third and long, it'll be playing into their hands. In the end, this will come down to Virginia Tech's offense against the Yellow Jackets defense. Let's go bold and take the Hokies and the points, as well as the over.

Prediction: Virginia Tech 37, Georgia Tech 24
