The Virginia Tech softball team, which is ranked in the Top 20 in multiple polls to begin the 2025 season began their season in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on Friday with a pair of non-conference games.
Virginia Tech returns a ton of talent from a team that made the NCAA Tournament last spring and saw their season come to an end in the Los Angeles Regional at UCLA in May. With the amount of talent returning, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Hokies back in the NCAA Tournament again this spring and they kicked off their season with a sweep at the Patriots Point Athletic Complex.
