Wednesday is the early signing day for the Class of 2025 college football players and on Tuesday, Virginia Tech had 17 commits ready to sign after Matthew Outten flipped his commitment from the Hokies to Penn State in September. Tuesday night, head coach Brent Pry picked up an 18th commit.

Three-star cornerback Jordan Crim from Camden, South Carolina, announced that he is committing to Virginia Tech over Duke, North Carolina State, Houston, Memphis, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Crim carries a three-star rating of 86 according to 247Sports and with his commitment, the Hokies have the 44th ranked class in the Class of 2025 according to the same outlet. He is the second commit in the class from the state of South Carolina, joining quarterback AJ Brand from Irmo. It was reported that South Carolina was trying to get Brand to flip his commitment, but he is still committed to Pry at this time.

Crim explained his decision to come to Virginia Tech over the other schools that were in the mix for him.

"Virginia Tech is doing it the right way and is going to be a winning program that way. I believe I fit the environment and that I will succeed in academics, football, and life at Virginia Tech."

Recent crystal ball predictions for Crim were coming in for the Hokies and in the end, that's the way it played out. Pry and his staff have built a class with a lot of athletes and players who have recently seen a bump in their rankings from three start to four. It's less than 24 hours that they officially sign with Virginia Tech and it will only be a matter of time before they are on campus.
