With each passing day, we are getting closer and closer to EA Sports College Football 2026, and football fans can't wait. There are many more upgrades compared to last season's edition, and in the trailer, Virginia Tech and Enter Sandman were included.

As different parts of the game get leaked, one thing that was released was the Top 25 toughest places to play. Last season, Virginia Tech was ranked 17th in the 2024 edition, but this summer, Lane Stadium is nowhere to be found in the Top 25, which, truthfully, is mind-boggling.

Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium is disrespected in the EA Sports College Football 2026 ranking

Again, for some reason, Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium goes from 17th to outside of the Top 25? That's insane. What's even more insane are some of the stadiums that ranked ahead of them. Carter-Finley Stadium at North Carolina State is 22nd? The other two schools ranked in the Top are Clemson's Memorial Stadium at No. 6 and Florida State's Doak S. Campbell Stadium was No. 15.

Somehow, someway, Lane Stadium is nowhere to be found. Again, Virginia Tech fans have a legitimate grip to be upset. Regardless of how the season is going, Lane Stadium is always filled, and even opposing schools and players have mentioned that Lane Stadium is a tough place to play. Apparently, EA Sports wasn't paying attention.

Does this mean Virginia Tech is becoming irrelevant in the college football world? I mean, you can't really base it on a video game, can you? Hokies fans know how well they support their teams, and even opposing ACC schools know that, regardless of records, going into Blacksburg in the fall inside Lane Stadium is never going to be easy. Again, EA Sports doesn't think so. Go figure.
