Jaden Keller: Linebacker
I'm excited about the Hokies' linebacking group this season, as they have two very good players returning in Caleb Woodson and Jaden Keller. Kaleb Spencer also returns, and transfer Jordan Bass is someone who could help a lot.
Keller is a tackling machine with 83 last season and he had two fumble recoveries. He has played in 27 games the last three years for Virginia Tech and the redshirt senior has a chance to raise his draft stock this season with another big year.
John Love: Kicker
You might be thinking, a kicker? You are most excited to hear about a kicker? Yes, because I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of one-score games this season, and if Virginia Tech is going to find themselves on the other side of the results in some of those games, then Love's leg will come into play.
There is no doubt that he has an explosive leg as we saw in the Duke's Mayo Bowl when he drilled a 60-yard field goal in Charlotte against Minnesota. Love connected on 16 of his 18 field goal attempts last year, including one from 57 yards against Miami. There will be a game or two that come down to Love's leg.
