Baylor stands in the way of another Sweet 16 trip

Things are going to be a lot tougher for the fourth-seeded Hokies against the fifth-seeded Bears, who beat Vanderbilt, 80-63, Friday night. Baylor outscored Vandy, 39-29, in the second half to pull away after leading by seven at halftime.

Bella Fontleroy had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Bears and Sarah Andrews had 13 points and five assists. Darianna Littlepage-Buggs had 11 points and Jana Van Gytenbeek added 10 off the bench. The Bears made nine of 21 3-point attempts and shot 46% from the field against Vanderbilt while holding them to just 17% from behind the arc and 41% from the field.

Cassell will be sold out again and the tip will be at 8 o'clock. Without Kitley this is an interesting match up and unlike before Marshall, Brooks and his staff will have just one day to prepare for Baylor. Expect the Hokies to be prepared and ready to go with another spot in the Sweet 16 on the line.
