Cayla King

It has been a struggle recently for King to shoot the ball. Against Virginia, she knocked down just one 3-pointer, and that came in the second half. It’s not like she hasn’t been getting chances as she has benefitted from getting open shots because of the attention Kitley and Amoore get. She has been in foul trouble lately and without a doubt, whether Kitley is in the lineup or not, she can be a huge X-factor for Virginia Tech. This is her final season and what a way to go out if she can catch fire this weekend.

Matilda Ekh

Brooks adding Ekh out of the transfer portal last spring allowed his team to spread things out and gave him another 3-point threat. She has stepped up in some games and doesn’t need a lot of room to get off a shot. Her defense has been underrated this season and she has grabbed some key rebounds at times. Offensively, she has done a nice job of catching the ball, putting it on the floor, and being able to drive to the basket. That has become one of the underrated parts of her game and something the Hokies will need more of.
