Mike Young and Mylyjael Poteat excited for 2024-25

Mylyjael Poteat was another member of this past season’s team to enter the transfer portal, but three days after entering, he withdrew and is returning to Blacksburg for the 2024-25 season. Along with Kidd last season, Poteat had his moments where he really impacted a game on the inside, and getting him back is big. Recently, he said that he is “confident” going into next season and Young said “I feel really, really good coming out of the spring.’’

Who could blame either one of them? On paper, the Hokies roster looks like it will be an athletic team that has added some experienced players with Hammond and Schutt. Ben Burnham from the College of Charleston, Hysier Miller from Temple, Toibu Lawal from VCU, and Rodney Brown of California. You get the feeling that Virginia Tech is going to be a team that will be worth watching each night and will leave everything on the floor.
