One of the more under-the-radar transfer portal additions is Tobi Lawal from VCU. He is a dynamic athlete who will be a tough matchup at both ends of the floor. Last season for the Rams, he averaged over seven points a game and six rebounds. On the offensive end, he finished in the Top 20 in the country with 70 dunks and he should get a lot of easy baskets in the fashion for Virginia Tech if the Hokies can space the floor and have their guards get to the basket. Last year, Kidd was the benefit of some easy dunks and it could be Lawal this season.

On the defensive end, the 6-foot-8 Lawal has a huge wing span to alter shots around the basket and can be a difference-maker in certain matchups. He'll also be a key rebounder for Young along with the other forwards and bigs the Hokies will have.
