In-state recruiting is booming

When he took over as head coach at Virginia Tech, Brent Pry had a long road ahead of him and he knew he needed to make it a priority to start landing recruits from Virginia. So far, that has been a huge storyline surrounding the Class of 2025 regarding commitments for the Hokies. The month of June was so far the most successful month in terms of recruiting in the Commonwealth.

Just within the last 30 days, Pry has got commitments from in-state recruits Sheldon Robinson (cornerback) from Woodberry Forest, Zeke Chiwike (edge) from Green Run, Nathaniel Wright (interior offensive lineman) from Woodbridge, Jeffrey Overton (running back) from Quantico and Christian Evans (defensive linemen) from Ashburn. Not to mention the Hokies got a commitment from quarterback AJ Brand from South Carolina, over the Gamecocks, and Class of 2026 quarterback Peyton Falzone. Things are cooking currently in terms of recruiting for Virginia Tech.
