Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry has made strides in one area since being hired in Blacksburg, recruiting in the state of Virginia. It didn't happen overnight and the former Penn State defensive coordinator has slowly mended fences that were broken under former coach Justin Fuente with high school coaches in the Commonwealth.

In the Class of 2025, the Hokies have 10 commitments from Virginia and some are good prospects, despite losing four-star Matthew Outten who flipped his commitment to Penn State on Sept. 2. In the Class of 2026, the Hokies received an early commitment from quarterback Peyton Falzone, a four-star from Pennsylvania.

Virginia Tech is in on a lot of recruits on the Class of 2026 and one who they have extended an offer to made a very impressive one-handed catch.

Virginia Tech football recruit Andre Clarke makes insane one-handed catch

Early in Pry's tenure in Blacksburg, the Hokies extended an offer to Andre Clarke from Richmond. The Hermitage High School athlete and cornerback made an insane one-handed catch in a recent game off a tipped ball on a deep throw.

That was an impressive one-handed catch off the tipped pass. One other takeaway from that video is that the QB has a tremendous arm and throws a good deep ball.

Clarke is a very highly sought after recruit and he holds almost three dozen offers. Some other notable programs that have offered him are Virginia, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Syracuse, Miami, North Carolina State, Kentucky, SMU, Penn State, Tennessee, Ohio State, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Minnesota, and most recently, Wisconsin.

Recruiting in the Class of 2026 is going to begin to pick up steam over the next few months and Clarke is a name on everyone's board with that catch, you can see why he is highly sought after for two years down the line.
