Jalen Stroman
Like Peoples, Stroman has been ruled out of the Military Bowl by Pry, but his strong season at safety can't be overlooked. He registered 55 tackles, good enough for third on the team and 24 of those tackles were solo. He increased his overall tackles by 12 from 2022 and had two more solo tackles this season.
With Peoples out and Jalen Stroman not out there (not sure why), the #Hokies had Mose Phillips and Jaylen Jones running with the first team at safety. Derrick Canteen was working with the safety group as well.

Pry recently announced that Stroman underwent surgery for an undisclosed injury and will miss the Tulane game, but the junior made his presence his felt during the regular season to help Virginia Tech become bowl-eligible. Despite not playing, he is scheduled to join the Hokies in Annapolis, Maryland to go through the bowl-week experience with his teammates.
