The Virginia Tech football team will return to the friendly confines of Lane Stadium on Saturday to begin the home portion of their football schedule when they host Marshall in a non-conference game. They will be looking to rebound from last weekend's loss at Vanderbilt and they will do so hosting a large number of recruits, both committed and uncommitted.

There are going to be some big names on campus for the 4:30 kickoff and taking in the Gameday experience at Lane Stadium and here is a list of some of the recruits that are in town over the weekend.

Virginia Tech hosts a slew of recruits against Marshall

First and foremost, here is a list of committed recruits in Blacksburg, and one name missing will be Matthew Outten who flipped his commitment from Virginia Tech to Penn State last Monday.

Class of 2025 commits

Noah Chambers: Linebacker
Knahlij Harrell: Cornerback
AJ Brand: Quarterback
Jeff Overton: Running Back
Jayden Anderson: Wide Receiver
Shamarius Peterkin: Wide Receiver
Carter Stallard: Offensive Line
Zeke Chinweke: Edge
Sherrod Henderson: Edge
Christian Evans: Defensive Line

Class of 2026 commit

Peyton Falzone: Quarterback

Recruits

Nick Reddish: Safety
Carnell Warren: Wide Receiver
N]Jaziel Hart: Cornerback
Cody Taylor: Offensive Line
Damari Carter: Wide Receiver
Kyle Mitchell: Wide Receiver

Nick Reddish is the younger brother of current Hokie Quentin Reddish and will get to see his brother in action at Lane Stadium. Class of 2025 quarterback commit Kelden Ryan from DeSoto, Texas is not scheduled to be in attendance.

There are going to be other recruits in attendance this weekend and it would be a good recruiting tool for head coach Brent Pry and his staff to turn things around against the Thundering Hurd after last weekend's loss to the Commodores, which saw Outten flip his recruitment two days later. I'm not saying that it had anything to do with the result in Nashville, but it happened to be odd timing.
