So many potential ways to attack teams

It’s no secret that at any level of football, offensive success starts with the play of the quarterbacks. That will be the case this fall for Virginia Tech. Drones has the potential to put himself in the category with some of the top QBs in the country and if he does, it will be because of Bowen’s play-calling and the offensive surrounding him. Tuten is a four-down back who can take the pressure off of the passing with his ability to run the ball and make some moves to elude defenders. Malachi Thomas is another back who can do multiple things, including throwing a halfback option, which he did last season and in the Spring Game.

Virginia Tech brings back wide receivers Jaylin Lane, Stephen Gosnell, Da’Quan Felton, and Ali Jennings, who missed 11 games last season with an ankle injury. That core along with most of the offensive line returning and the addition of Montavious Cunningham, has both the running and passing game set up for success. The numbers that the unit as a whole could potentially put up could be a Hokies’ fans' dream.

There is no doubt that there is a lot to like about the Virginia Tech quarterback room in 2024 and the potential they have. They are one of the big reasons why expectations are high in Blacksburg and the Hokies are in a prime position to take another huge step in 2024 under Brent Pry.
