Virginia Tech Football: 3 reasons to be extremely excited about the Hokies QB room in 2024
By Scott Roche
Kyron Drones
One rather big takeaway from the Hokies spring game was that Drones looked like he’s going to pick up in 2024 where he left off in 2023. His ability to run the ball or throw it downfield was on display along with very good decision-making. If there was one area as last season went along where Drones improved, it was with his deep ball and his ability to make nearly every right decision. He didn’t force throws and he knew when to tuck the ball and run.
Virginia Tech’s offense in 2024 is set up for a lot of success with Drones, running back Bhayshul Tuten, and the large retainment the Hokies got at wide receiver. Drones brings a dimension to the offense that is going to be tough for opposing teams to slow down or stop between the different ways that they can spread the ball around and playmakers at Bowen’s disposal. Virginia Tech will go as far as Drones can take them on offense this upcoming fall.
