Sean Pedulla struggled in return

After missing two out of the last three games with an ankle injury he suffered at the end of the Louisville game on Dec. 3, junior point guard Sean Pedulla returned to the starting lineup against Wake Forest. From the opening tip, he looked like he was playing tentative and he turned the ball over three times early on. Young inserted freshman Brandon Rechsteiner before the under-16 media timeout to get Pedulla out of the game.

On the defensive end, Pedulla struggled to keep the Wake Forest gaurds in front of him and the Demon Deacons went at him with success. For the game, Pedulla finished with six of the Hokies 18 turnovers, he was called for an offensive foul in the second half when he pushed off on a inbounds pass. He was clearly frustrated. Not all of the turnovers and problems were his fault, but now he gets a week off to rest and comeback stronger against the Seminoles next Saturday.
