Two ACC teams going in different directions will open conference play against each other in South Florida Friday night. Virginia Tech and Miami each opened the season with their four non-conference games and the Hokies are sitting at a disappointing 2-2 while the Hurricanes are 4-0 and living up to the preseason hype.

Virginia Tech is entering the game coming off a, 26-23, loss at home to Rutgers while Miami put up 50 points in a 50-15 victory over South Florida. Again, two teams heading in different directions a quarter of the way through the 2024 season.

Frustration is quickly setting in with Virginia Tech fans and the Hokies open as a 17-point underdog against the Hurricanes according to DraftKings and right now, it's hard not to put some dough down on Miami to cover.
