Like BC, the Yellow Jackets were off after playing last on Christmas Eve, losing to Nevada in the Championship game of the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii. They return to ACC play at 1-0 after beating Duke earlier in December.

Ooff. If you think things were bad for Virginia Tech Saturday, try being a Cavaliers fan. After beating Morgan State Wednesday, Virginia lost, 76-54, at Notre Dame. It was one of the most stunning results early in the season, to say the least.

Is the what we saw from the Demon Deacons Saturday against Virginia Tech the Demon Deacons we'll see all year long? Highly unlikely, but they are going to be a dangerous team if they can get the balanced scoring they got and with their pressure defense that caused havoc all afternoon for the Hokies.
